 My elder son is 14 yrs old, but according to his age, he has very casual approach towards work/life/ studies. Though he has good brain but he doesn't take the responsibilities on his own. He has to be constantly reminded about. My husband is more of a permissive parent and he doesn't believe in having boundaries ..because of this , though i am a authoritative parent, at times I have to behave like an authoritarian parent to which we ( my husband nad myself have arguements) My son is a teenager, I really feel so unsecured in this part of world. Please suggest

 My kid always back talks to me. But I do not scold or say anything to him or make him understand that back talking is not good. Because I want him to realise on his own that what he is doing is not good. Is this a good style of parenting?

 How to be a good parent. We read all these good tips about parenting but do we practice them. Parents should always aim at making their kids a good human being and the battle is won. If we keep poking the child on what he or she is doing all the time, than we are wasting their childhood. Constant monitoring is not good. And of course we should know as a parent what our child is doing.

 Child's behaviour is a mirror to parent's behaviour. So whatever we expect from our children, we should behave accordingly with them. I think that is the good way of parenting. Parents should be what they expect their kids to be in life.
